"Dump" Truck

This is really the most exciting thing that has happened at the Washington household lately. As we were leaving one day, I saw this "surprise" in Brazos' dump truck- yes, it is what you think it is. Well, needless to say, I had a fit and accused Matt and Brazos of doing some very industrious work. They both completely denied planting this "mess" in the dump truck.

I told Brazos, "I am very distraught over the dump in your truck. Who would do that?" He replied, "Mama, mind your own business, just take care of yourself." (Undoubtedly a sentence he hears daily at school). Anyway, we have finally decided that one of our dogs must be a genius and has taken the meaning of "dump truck" very literally. Or we are easily entertained

The "Joe Dirt" story probably warrants some explanation- Brazos did not just come up with this out of the blue. During Homecoming Week at school, each day was a theme dress up day and on "Celebrity Day" we dressed Brazos as Joe Dirt- as you can see. He was pretty unhappy until he got on the bus and one kid said, "Hey, its Joe Dirt!" and he was a hit the rest of the day. In fact, he won "Best Costume" for that day in all of elementary. It has brought him a bit of notoriety so he wants to be Joe Dirt anytime it's "dress up" time......hence, the idea to be Joe Dirt in the Christmas Pageant!!!

Christmas

Brazos was a cow for the Christmas program at church- and he was NOT happy. He was supposed to be a sheep but at the last minute, they figured out that the costume was too small. He wanted to be the "nararrator" (sp?) but we tried to tell him you kind of have to know how to read to do that job. So, he wanted to be Joe Dirt- that's what he told the head lady doing the production. She so kindly explained that Joe Dirt wasn't really part of the birth of Jesus but that maybe next year he could do something different.

These are 3D sonogram images taken 1.24.07 of Little Sterling Blu......it feels as if you are looking at something that only God is supposed to see! It is precious and a bit overwhelming at the same time. We can't believe how cute he is- I think he looks a little like Brazos!
